Delayed school opening after 10 years of planning

You cold not make this up after 10 years of planning and with the foundation laid Dorset County Council Commissioning Manager – Premises writes to parents to say New Damers School on Poundbury Dorchester will now not open till Spring 2017 , not much chance of that I think. Did he not seal contractors into a price for the job overall and would he not have checked if it had increased 3 years obviously not and now has lost them and has to start all over again . One now has to ask the question do we have any council that actually can do its job WDDC have cost the Town millions with failed botched contracts and poorly cost Waste disposal and here we go again with County . What has happened to Councillors monitoring and checking what is going on.
The old school is in very poor repair ,falling to pieces as Council will not spend money on it. Playground feet away from Dorset County hospital helicopter landing pad ,very frightening if the children are outside when it lands and takes off but no urgency from Council , they fiddle whilst Rome burns , heads should roll for this .Parents write to your MP Oliver Letwin , google him and complain do it for your children they deserve better treatment.
